The Chronicon Microblog Client
Chronicon is a desktop (or mobile) client for Web based microblogging services such as StatusNet and Twitter. It allows users to read and post small (140 character) messages.
Chronicon can use two kinds of authentication to connect a user to the service. One is the traditional Basic Authentication currently in popular use. Another is the more recent OAuth method preferred by some commercial sites. Chronicon's implementation of OAuth is more user friendly than the methods recommended by Twitter, without affecting security. All network traffic is the same, and no account password is stored. A security advantage is that all control stays within Chronicon, no information is passed through an unknown browser.
